life update

i have not posted anything in a while and since i have so many avid readers i have decided to let it all out. school is going great, i am enjoying my classes and am learning in them. the time has nearly arrived where i should be stressing about the final projects and final exams. things shouldn't be too bad though, i will get caught up during thanksgiving break. one exciting piece of news is that i applied for and was accepted to participate this summer in the flourishing families project. i will be in seattle all summer, helping a professor with research or something like that. i am not aware of all the details, but i will learn more as the time gets closer. for those who did not know, i am a psychology major and just declared myself as such this semester. my halloween was splendid. I dressed up as an undercover cop. actually i didn't really dress up, i simply put handcuffs in my pockets and when people asked what i was i pulled them out and told them i was an undercover cop. i went to a couple of corn mazes, both scary and normal. i only peed my pants three times. on one of the adventures, we had to go through the back of an abandoned school bus as a insane man with a chainsaw chased us. i also carved a kobe pumpkin and it was stolen within hours of being placed outdoors. i guess i did such a great job that someone admired it and decided it would look better on their doorstep. i learned recently that only one space is needed after a period in a sentence. i was shocked, surprised, and amazed. just think of the space that can be saved by eliminating one space after each sentence. i have continued to hone my guitarhero/rockband skills and i am slowly improving. i found out that my little brother, who is serving a church mission in st. petersburg, russia, is coming home on my birthday. i haven't lost any weight as i normally do while i am away at school. in fact, i feel (and the scale indicates) that i have actually gained weight. i recently (as in this past weekend) took part in a talent show. a video that i played a role in was played, i organized/participated in a model runway thing. and i also interpretively acted out the song "creep" by radiohead while a friend played it on the guitar and sang. my friends savannah and melissa surprised me by showing up and also brought my little brother. my bff dan was there to help out even though he was not obligated to be. i was involved in dancesport, an event here at byu where every dance that is taught is preformed in the form of a competition. i was forced to be in it because i am in a country western dance. it was fun and i even dressed up and looked amazing. i went and saw new moon on the opening night. it was fun to go with the group i was in but the movie wasn't as good as i had expected. the first one made me laugh so much. i also saw an amazing movie, the blind side, about the pro football player michael oher. it was so good. i recommend it to anyone and everyone. things are going well for me. i am grateful for all i have been blessed with, for i have truly been given much more than i deserve.
