i was at home in spokane, washington the entire summer break. there are not too many words capable of describing the experiences i had (the truth is at the moment i cannot come up with any words to describe it). with each new day comes new experiences and with new experiences come new lessons learned and with new lessons learned come knowledge. what we do with each day, experience, lessons learned, and knowledge is up to us. i was fortunate enough to have many wonderful days, experiences, and lessons learned. the result of these was knowledge. i will share the most important pieces of knowledge i was able to learn this summer of 2009
- true and genuine kindness cannot be replaced by anything. kindness comes from the inside and then expands outward. when one becomes kind, he/she embraces everyone and everything chooses to be positive, no matter what.
- family is everything. friends, even best friends (or bffs for those of you who understand that) come and go and my not always be there for you, your family is though.
- less really is more. i noticed that the less i talked when i wasn't necessary (which most of the time it wasn't necessary) things were better not only for me but for those around me.
- the savior and redeemer of the world, Jesus Christ, does know me and what i am going through and is the only one that can completely and fully help me no matter what i am dealing with as long as i turn fully to Him and rely solely on Him. making Him number one in my life is hard, but extremely worth every second of it.
